Pizza Go Vroom
Augmented Reality Game for Kids
Team Project (Size 9)
Role: Game Designer, Level Designer
Pizza Go Vroom was my Third Year final project at Supinfogame Rubika, Pune. The goal of the project was to design a mobile game for children between ages 6 to 12. This was also the first time we were introduced to Augmented Reality, which we were required to implement in our project.
Pizza Go Vroom is a racing game in which the player races as slices of pizza on a home-made toy cars made of bottle-caps and soda cans. In the game prototype the player races around three locations inside a diner - the kitchen, the dining room and an outdoors area.
The player characters are slices of pizza with different toppings on them. Each pizza slice has their own unique abilities.

Using augmented reality, the player interact and customize their vehicle before a race, changing the body and wheels to their liking. Because this feature is in AR, the player can move their mobile phone around the vehicle to view it from different angles.
Contribution
During the early concept stages, I suggested the theme of a pizzeria in which little slices of pizzas race on home-made karts made of utensils, cutlery, etc.

During production, I took on the role of Level Designer and created levels for the "Dining Area". I developed the levels from paper designs, to simple blockout model, to the final implementation of the level.
